FEBRUARY 2025

Welcome to the very first edition of the Ascencia Malta Newsletter!🎉 This is your go-to spot to relive the amazing moments from last month, stay in the loop about upcoming events, and celebrate all the fantastic milestones you achieve as a student community.

We may be watching from the sidelines of your academic journey, and yes, we know some of us might seem a little strict at times (we see you thinking it! 😆) but trust us—our one and only goal is to see you succeed!

A big shoutout to our January 2025 intake at the Business School — your adventure has officially begun! 🚀 To all our new and returning students, the entire Ascencia Team is cheering you on as you dive into this semester. With the guidance of your amazing lecturers and academic team, we have no doubt that you can go far! But don’t just take our word for it—let’s take inspiration from Dr. Lawrence Gonzi, the former Prime Minister of Malta, who recently visited our school and shared these wise words:

"Focus on your studies, enjoy yourselves, make it a wonderful experience. Be encouraged, because eventually, you will be able to translate all of that into a career that will be successful for all of you."

Let’s carry that encouragement with us! And remember, if things ever feel a little overwhelming, we’ve all been there before — and we’re here to support you every step of the way.

Wishing you all a wonderful and love—filled February!❤️

To new milestones & memories!

3. January and February Highlights

Kicking Off the New Year with Inspiring Guests!

The new year started with a bang as we rolled out the red carpet for some truly distinguished local figures! Not only did they tour our premises, but they also shared golden nuggets of wisdom from their incredible careers proving that learning never stops!

Dr. Lawrence Gonzi, former Prime Minister of Malta, gave our students a fascinating glimpse into the world of leadership and decision-making. Whether you're running a country or choosing a career path, making smart decisions is a skill that lasts a lifetime!

Evarist Bartolo, former Minister of Education, highlighted the power of professional development and lifelong learning. Drawing from his political journey, he emphasized how education and the workplace go hand in hand.

Dr. George Vella, former President of Malta, shared insights from both his medical and political careers, stressing the importance of always being prepared—no matter what profession you choose.

Keith Demicoli, a well-known local journalist, captivated students with his personal career journey, including his bold decision to leave public broadcasting. His story reminded us all of the importance of following your passion and embracing change.

Despite their different career paths, all our esteemed guests echoed the same powerful message: education is a lifelong journey. Staying open to learning allows us to grow, adapt, and thrive—both personally and professionally!

What an incredible way to start the year!

We don’t stop there! As February started, we continued to celebrate milestones with our students!
